Nicholas Resources is a North Dakota family-owned mineral lease acquisition firm.  Nicholas Resources is actively seeking to acquire mineral acres and working interests as a non-operator in the Bakken and Three Forks shale oil formations of western North Dakota.

Our Story

Nicholas Resources was founded by Lauren Gjovig in 2009. Fourth generation native to North Dakota, Lauren formed Nicholas Resources with the intention to invest in new oil projects in the Bakken and Three Forks shale oil play of northwest North Dakota. Nicholas Resources is proudly named in honor of Mark and Lauren's second son.
